When the Shelby Farms Greenline opened in 2010, Memphis was ranked one of the worst biking and walking cities in the U.S. Now, just six years later, the 6.7-mile trail has proved a game-changer—connecting woodlands, wetlands, a diverse collection of neighborhoods and one of America’s largest urban parks, and creating a new culture of people-powered mobility in the region.
