RTC | FL Campaign | Urge Mayor Regalado to Approve the Rail-with-Trail Resolution!

Dear Florida Trails Supporter,

The City of Miami is on the verge of supporting a trail project that could revolutionize the transportation options of millions of Floridians.

Yesterday, the City of Miami Commission passed a resolution formally endorsing the plan to include a bike and pedestrian pathway alongside the All Aboard Florida rail project that will connect Miami and Orlando.

Now, it’s up to Mayor Tomás Regalado to approve the resolution with his signature.

Take action now: Urge Mayor Regalado to support trails, walking and biking by signing the City of Miami’s resolution supporting a trail component with the All Aboard Florida project.

Act Now

Pathways near active rail lines are a great way to help connect our communities—and a trail alongside the All Aboard Florida just makes good sense. The rail-with-trail will help cut down on traffic by helping people get to and from the train stations without having to drive, it will boost property values in nearby communities, and will create healthier neighborhoods by encouraging active transportation. These trails are safer than riding next to a roadway and are proven community improvements.

Tell Mayor Regalado that complementing the train service with a multi-use pathway is great for our communities.

Mayor Regalado has 10 days to approve the City of Miami Commission’s resolution—and he needs to hear from local trail supporters like you! Take action today!

All across the southeast, Floridian communities are signing resolutions supporting the concept of a rail-with-trail component to All Aboard Florida. Make sure Miami continues to be a leader in the state by backing this modern, multi-modal transportation project.

Together, we can make a difference for trails, walking and biking in Miami —and Florida’s future!

Sincerely,

Ken Bryan
